Obituary for Hosea Lindburgh Howard
Mr. Hosea Lindbugh Howard, 75, of 137 Garfield Street, Statesville, passed away at the Gordon Hospice House, Statesville on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, following an extended illness. He was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia on May 24, 1941, and was the son of the late Roy Howard, Sr. and Annie Smith Howard. He was married to Phyllis Saddler Howard who survives. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Santana Wright.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life, one son, Anthony (Kim) Howard of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Angela Faye Holmes of Statesville and Ardell Howard of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., but will assemble at the residence of his daughter, Angela Faye Holmes, 604 Brandon Street, Statesville, at other times.
