Obituary for Cornelia "Miss Sis" Hosch (Brown)
Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY will come in the morning.
Mrs. Cornelia Brown Hosch, 86, of 125 Blue Spruce Lane, Cleveland, was born in Plum Branch, South Carolina on July 13, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Milton and Fannie Mae Cheatham Brown. . She departed this life on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Miss Sis, as she was affectionately called, attended Schools in South Carolina and made her home in Cleveland, North Carolina. She attended Greater Mt. Zion FBH Church in Charlotte and Mooresville Mission FBH in Mooresville. She was married to Robert Hosch, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Milton Brown, Jr. and two sisters, Fannie Mallory and Ida Mae Stroble.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, one daughter, Pastor Annie (Alvin) Brown Clement of the home; two sons, David (Barbara) Brown of Salisbury and Jeffery (Gail) Brown of Statesville; thirteen grandchildren, Andrea (Patrick) Woods and David (Regina) Brown, both of Charlotte, Alvin (Amber) Clement, Jr. of Troutman, Candice (James) Hamilton and Angela (Derrick) Stevenson, both of Statesville, Tariq Clement of Mooresville, Antionette Clement of Troutman, Janika Clement of Statesville, Olivia Clement of Cleveland, Kenya Martin of Statesville, Kisha Martin of Winston-Salem, Karen Brown and Kimberly (Maurice) Campbell, both of Statesville; one aunt, Marie Jackson of Leesburg, Florida; one nephew, Milton Wiggleton of Washington, D. C.; one niece, Brenda Jones of Washington, D. C.; a special cousin, Martha Atkins of Salisbury, N.C.; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Elder Lester Powell will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Mrs. Hosch will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
