Mr. Arthur Joyner, Jr., 61, of Statesville, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018, at the Gordon’s Hospice House. He was born in Chesterfield County , on April 24, 1957, and was the son of Marbest Hill Fleming and the late Authur Joyner, Sr. He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Joyner; a sister, Donna Murphy and a sister-in-law, Audrey Wilson.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his life, two sons, Travis (Dyrita) Lowe of Statesville and Scenque “Tight” Lowe of Cheraw, SC; two daughters, Jennifer Lowe, Courtney McMillian, both of Cheraw, SC; two step daughters, Priscilla Lowe of Darlington, SC and Shanina Fells of Columbia, SC; four brothers, Nathaniel Joyner, James Joyner and Freddie Joyner all of Statesville and Marvin (Meshella) Joyner of Darlington, SC; two sisters, Barbara Wilson and Teresa Joyner, both of Statesville; grandchildren, Shantraya Ford, Keyondre Drake, theodore McMillian, Kelvonte Lowe, Cloe-talia McMillian, Traevonce McFarlin, Hermoni Carraway, Kai’lani Robinson, Charavia Ellis, Deosha Stinson, Olivia Stinson, Caleb Burton, Keithen Erwin; a great grandchild, Shaeden Vanderburg; his caregiver, Ebony Gillion of Statesville; a special niece, Denetrious Joyner; special friends, Rufus Gardner, Nathan (Lena) Lowe, Jennifer Brown and Jack (Nancy) Lowe; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, others relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Mary Horton will officiate and Bishop Daniel Horton will eulogize with burial to follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Joyner will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
