Mr. Harry Miller, Jr. 78, of 100 Hendren Lane, Cleveland, departed this life on Friday, January 25, 2019, at Aurora Assisted Living. He was born in Iredell County on August 3, 1940, and was the son of the late Harell Henry Miller and Sadie Ann Morrison Miller. He was married to Muriel Bradley who also preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, Harell Henry Miller and Sadie Ann Miller, his wife, Muriel Miller, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Lewis Miller, and two sisters, Dorothy Miller and Bren Williams.
Mr. Miller attended Scotts Rosenwald School and was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church. He worked as a machine operator with Good Year Company. Harry will truly be missed.
Survivors include two daughters, Herlene Summers and Marcelette Miller Jones; two brothers, Tony W. (Eva) Miller, and James D. (Brenda) Miller; six sisters, Annie Tatum, Bobbie Miller, Lucille Miller, Nadine Morrison, Phyllis Morrison, and Sue Gray; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, Statesville. The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the funeral. Reverend Dietrich Danner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Clark's Chapel Cemetery. The family will reside at the home of Annie Tatum, 145 Gilbert Road, Statesville, at all other times.
