Man, right now I am hurting so bad because of the fact that my best friend, Melvin"Melvo"Simpson has left this earth!!!You know, I realize that we are all going to leave this earth...But,Melvo was a young man...I truly can say that Melvo was my best friend!!!I am not a Statesville resident...I am a Kannapolis resident...There was a time in which I said to myself that I needed a change of scenery...So, I moved to Statesville...I didn't know anyone from Statesville...I can't exactly remember how Melvo and I met. But,once we met,it was such a privilege...Man,Melvo and I used to sit up until 2:00 in the morning, playing either Spades or Rummy. We used to play PlayStation until the weekend hours of the morning... Both of us are competitive people... The whole time, talking junk to each other...But,it was all in good fun...I remember when his wife, Shannon was stranded way out in Newark,New Jersey and,at the time,he didn't have transportation. He asked me and a girlfriend at the time if we could give him a ride to go rescue her from harm's way...And,we gladly did it for him...And, Melvo was a kind person that always has your back,also...Melvo, you can best believe that I will be there to pay my respects to you...I wouldn't care if I had to come all the way from Afgt... Because, that's how much I treasured you for being my friend...I love you, man!!!!
