Mr. Roger Craig Graham, 59, of 108 Harris Court, Apartment 2, Troutman, passed away at his home on Friday, March 22, 2019, following an extended illness. He was born in Forsyth County on November 25, 1959, and was the son of the late Thomas Artis Freeman and Sarah Frances Summers Graham.
He attended the Iredell Statesville Schools and was a member of Bethel United Congregational Church. He was a loving person and was affectionately called, “Spike”. He loved landscaping, fishing, remodeling homes and spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren .
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Richard Freeman and Franklin Nathaniel Graham, his sister, Vanessa Tonette Shuford and a niece, Desiree Veronique Graham.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, one son, Marcus (Amber) Graham of Statesville; one daughter, Shaina Shuford of Statesville; one sister, April L. Houston of Statesville; ten grandchildren, O'Keiro, Kiaira, Kaliah, Tanasia, Talasia, Helen, Naomi, Bryson, Lilly and Rylan; a special aunt, Marjorie James of Statesville; special friends, Latonya Graham, Mary Alston, Robert Parks, Melvin Parks, Lenny McIntosh, Lenetta Leach, Joann Ikard and David Parks; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, the Bethel Congregational Church Family and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 27, 2019, 2:00 pm, at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm, at the funeral home. Reverend Williams will officiate and burial will follow at the Belmont Cemetery. The family will assemble at 1609 5th Street at all other times.
