Mr. Milton Alexander Rankins, Sr., 76, was born in Rowan County on June 23, 1942, and was the son of the late Nelson Rankins and Bertha Culbertson. He entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2019, at Gordon Hospice House. He was married to Margaret Louise King Rankins, who survives.

He was employed at Brian Center as a CNA. Milton will truly be missed.
In addition to his parents, Nelson Rankins and Bertha Culbertson,he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Elmer King, and a brother, Eugene Culbertson.
Milton leaves to cherish the memories of his life, five sons, Milton Rankins Jr., Dwight Mitchell Ijames, Kevin (Valerie) King, all of Statesville, Rhyne ( Donna) Rankins, of Stony Point, Marshell ( Freddie) Maddox, of Ellenwood, Georgia; two Goddaughters, Tayla Tucker, and Janice Turner,one sister-in-law, Mary Cutherson; one brother-in-law, Ronnie King of Baltimore, MD.; three nephews, Maurice (Michelle) Culbertson, Christian Culbertson, Mitch ( Angela) Culbertson, one niece, Shelia (Ozell) Hadley; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; a host of other cousins, friends and relatives.
A celebration of life services will be conducted on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Landmark Church of God. 1:00 pm. Pastor Phil Pearson will give the eulogy. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 - 1:00 pm., but will assemble at the residence of 923 Inglewood Rd. Statesville, NC. Rutledge and Bigham is serving the Rankins family.
