Mr. Alfred Lee Feimster, son of the late Floyd Lee Feimster and Martha Elwanda Houpe Feimster, was born on November 12, 1950. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 6, 2019, at his home.

Alfred graduated from Unity High School class of 1968, and also attended Mitchell Community College for two years where he majored in Business Administration. He worked at Durable Fibers Technology as a machine operator. At an early age, he attended Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Stony Point and attended Freedom United Church of God in Woodleaf. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He received the following service medals, The National Defense Service Medal, the Parachute Badge, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, ATR Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. He completed Basic Training and the Combat Leadership School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Feimster Cornelius.
Al, as he was affectionately called, leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife of fourteen years, Mrs. Darlene Gray Feimster of the home; six children, Jacob Floyd Feimster, Joshua Edward (Denise) Feimster and Jasmine Nicole Fiemster, all of Statesville, Octavian Jerod (April) Gray of Lexington, Antuane Maurice (Takair) Gray of Salisbury and Venessa Maria Gray of the home; his sisters, Joyce (Ryan Wade of Hickory, Beatrice (Clifford) Mayfield, Margie (Leonard) Feimster, and Shelia (Larry) Hickman, all of Statesville; his special brothers, James (Velma) Oakley and Skip (Candi) McCall, both of Statesville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles Cornelius of Hickory, John Lindsey (Priscilla) Gray of Norfolk, Va., James Luther Gray andVanessa Gray McCoy, both of Salisbury and Chris Lamont Gray of Faith; seven grandchildren, London Feimster, Paris Mauney, Alijiah Gray, Jacob Gray, Yuriah Gray, Xavier Gray, and Devonte Gray, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, Freedom United Church of God Church family, neighbors and friends.
A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2019, 12:00 at Freedom United Church of God, Woodleaf, N.C.. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 11:00-12:00 pm., but will assemble at the residence of Mrs. Darlene Marie Gray Feimster, 1416 Hart Road Woodleaf, N.C., at all other times.
