When all sorrow has drifted away
I'll be standin' at the portals when the gates open wide
At the close of life's long dreary day
Mr. James Allen Lackey, 56, of 920 Erickson St, Statesville, was born in Iredell County on June 26, 1962 and was the son of the late William McKinley Lackey, Jr., and Bessie Estelle Adams Lackey. He departed this life on Monday, May 13, 2019 at his home. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles William “Boo” Lackey and Keith Eugene "Skeeter" Lackey.
"Jimmy" as he was affectionately called,leaves to cherish the memories of his life, six brothers, Roy Lee (Linda) Adams, Rickie Lackey, Edward McKinley (Deborah) Lackey, Larry Lackey, Wesley Craig Lackey, and Garry Lackey, Sr., all of Statesville; three sisters, Brenda (Frank) Nesbit, Paulette Rankin, and Barbara Lackey, all of Statesville; an aunt, Louise (Leroy) Adams, of Youngstown, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, May 18th, 2019 12:00pm at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont, Inc.
