Mr. Frank Willie Turner, 84, of 104 Ferbia Lane, Harmony, was born in Mecklenburg County on October 7, 1934. He was the son of the late Harry and Mary Pralowe Turner. He was married to Hester Corrie Whiteside Turner, who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherwin Turner Ramsey and four great grandchildren and a son-in-law, Stephen Summers.

He attended the Iredell County Schools and at one time was a member of St. John Baptist Church and at the time of his death was a member of First Greater Living Missionary Baptist Church. Prior to his retirement, he was self employed as a concrete finisher.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his children, Mae Frances Summers of Harmony, Willie Turner, Jr., Cynthia (James) Jones, Harvey Turner, Alan Turner, Sherwood Turner, all of Statesville, Rotunda (Steven) Hunter of Greenville, SC and Fredrick Turner of Statesville; a son-in-law, Douglas Ramsey of Statesville; his brothers and sisters, Johnny (Grace) Turner of Statesville, Sonny Turner, Faith Turner, Promise Turner, Cathaline Turner Dobie, Kay Frances Turner, Paulette Turne and Lil Sista Turner, all of Charlotte; twenty grandchildren, Rodney Turner, Keisha (Tony) Everhart, Willie Miller, Katrina Eckles, Latasha Turner, Kenan Miller, Patricia Turner, Ronda Jones, Dwayne Turner, Laquawana Wilson, Jermell Turner, Quintin Roseboro, Tiffany Turner, Princeton Hunter, Demetrius Roseboro, Sherwood Turner, Jr., Christopher Turner, Denn Ramsey, Cameron Hunter and Kendall Turner; forty-five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont. Glenn J. Usry is Pastor and Rev. Sonny Turner, Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
