Mrs. Clara Mae Beaity Locklear, daughter of the late Monk Louis Beaity and Leatha Mae Miller, was born in Iredell County on June 9, 1953. She departed this life on her birthday, Sunday, June 9, 2019, unexpectedly.
She attended the Statesville City Schools and was a member of Smith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Jackson, Jr.; a brother, Clyde Alexander Beaity and an aunt, Catherine Caldwell.
She leaves to celebrate and remember her life, three daughters, Leatha Mae (Charles Burton) Beaity of Statesville, Cynthia Jackson and Marcella Latreace Jackson, both of Hickory; a step daughter, Cassie Locklear; one brother, Louis “June” (Lois) Beaity of Mooresville; three sisters, Betty Ann Ivery and Peggy Lucille (Arnold) Norman, both of Statesville and Ada Louise Everhart of Mooresville; her god-sister, Deborah Bines of Statesville; fourteen grandchildren, Emmanuell Beaity, Aleatha Beaity, Keandra Beaity, Shequana (Jermaine) Witt, Sa’Drema Beaity, Aaron Terrell Saddler, Jr., Tyesha Saddler, Tyreek Jackson, Dawnshya Jackson, Tiana Tucker, Aaliyah Jackson, Derrick Parks, Jr., Tyheem Phifer and Anari Wilson; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
