Tamera Danielle Caldwell, age 33, left on Saturday November 2nd, 2019 to go rest in the arms of Jesus. Tamara was the older of two daughters born to the late Barry and Dana Stevenson Caldwell. She graduated from Statesville High School in 2005 and received her certification in Early Childhood Development from Kaplan College. Prior to her illness she was employed by Kiddie Kollege Child Development Center in Statesville, NC.
Saved at an early age, Tamara was a faithful and hard-working member of Bethel Congregational UCC Church in Statesville, NC. Throughout the years she served in the following capacities: VBS Director, Junior Usher Circle Leader, Bethel Voices of Faith Choir, Kitchen/Hospitality Committee and Women’s Fellowship Coordinator. She was loved throughout the community and could always be counted on to give a smile and an encouraging word. Even as she quietly slept away to Jesus her sweet, precious smile never faded. Reassuring those of us left behind that she was at peace.
In addition to her parents, Tamara was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Linda Holmes and Harvey Lee Stevenson, her paternal grandparents Mary Emma Caldwell and William Brock, James Cherry, two aunts, Minnie Caldwell and Dot Stevenson and, an uncle, Brock Caldwell. She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Sharana Caldwell of the home; one brother, Jarvis Caldwell of Statesville, NC; godparents, Reverend James and Shirley Williams of Charlotte NC. two godsons, Aydan and Austin Houston of Statesville, NC; aunts Parnell (Carlos) Templeton, Beatrice Caldwell, Deanna (Douglas) Bryant, Rosemary (Robert) Dye, Frankie Stevenson, Linda (Perry) Lackey, Tracy Brandon and Connie Simmons, all of Statesville, NC and Corinthia Wright of Raleigh, NC; uncles, Ronnie Caldwell, Roy Green and Cedrick Corey, all of Statesville, NC.
Tamara also leaves a myriad of cousins and friends too numerous to name, including SPECIAL FRIENDS, Mrs. Lena Keaton, April Houston, Yolanda Huey, Dorothea and Rick Young, Yasmine Tucker, Tonya Marie, Mama Tracy Gray, and Mama Christie.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, November 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend James Williams will officiate. Ms. Caldwell will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where member of the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of Treva Caldwell, 1115 South Meeting Street, Statesville, NC at other times.
